MOUNT, TELESCOPE：M21A1, is used with TELESCOPE, PANORAMIC：M12A7H for laying in azimuth for direct and indirect fire on HOWITZER, LIGHT, TOWED：105-mm, M101A1. This mount consists of a socket which supports the panoramic-telescope, a longitudinal leveling mechanism, a cross leveling mechanism and azimuth error caused when the weapon is elevated with the trunnions out of level. There is an index on the longitudinal leveling mechanism and a matching pointer on a clamp. The mounting bracket has an extension with a hole for mounting the telescope mount on the trunnion of the weapon. Instead of scales and micrometers, there are indexes on the rocker and actuating arm to indicate 0° elevation. There is no angle of site mechanism. LIGHT, INSTRUMENT：M19 is used with the mount for night operation.
